Photoshop

Outside:

I used photoshop to edit my photos. I started of  by changing the colour of the template to black. I then added the front image, track listing and barcode onto the template because I wanted to get an idea of how everything will look and these were the largest things on my Digipak. I experimented with different parts of photoshop to see what was the best way to create the faded dots that I envisioned. I started by drawing a dot in a golden colour and then used the blur and smudge tool to fade it out. This worked for the back of the Digipak but when I tried it on the front cover I found that it blurred parts of her hair which wasn't too noticeable but I wasn't happy with it. After playing around with other tools on photoshop I found that there were other options to the paint brush tool and I could change it so that it would look blurred around the edges as soon as I drew it. I used this instead and just adjusted the sizes of the dots as I went along. I adjusted the opaqueness of the dots but I decided to keep them at 100% so that it looked like a solid light.

Inside:

To create the inside I started of by adding in the image that I wanted and changed the background colour to black. I created the CD by drawing 4 circles. I started of with a white large circle that would be the boarder around the actual CD that I created with a slightly small black circle. To create the hole in the middle I repeated the same process of making the CD but with smaller circles. I then added the text in and used the pipette tool to ensure that my text was the same colour as the outside. I then simple drew in the dots as I did with the front cover.

I found the advert quite simple to make. I cropped an image of my front cover and placed it into the advert. I created a square that I dragged underneath the layer of the image so that it would create a boarder around the image to make it stand out. I then just added in my text using the same font but different colours and sizing. Then I googled some images of places to buy music and placed them at the bottom.
