Rough Cut Feedback
Our teacher Rebecca watched our rough cut and told us what was good about our music video and what needed improving. What was good about our music video was that the narrative worked nicely with the artist performance and all the shots were well filmed, the close up shots at the barbican were clear and worked well. However there are many improvements needed to be made, better direction from the group because there are times when Farha comes across as uncomfortable and awkward, so we need to make sure through out the music video there is more movement, and she is singing the lyrics more clearly, so when it comes to editing it looks better on the music video. On our rough cut we need to change our starting shot because she is wearing a complete different costume to the other costumes and it looks weird, we need to start with a different shot because the one we start with is too far away from the camera and also this shot is too long, so we will swap this with the close up shot we filmed of Farha near the trees at Barbican, so we will be introduced to the audience straight away. During the beginning of the video we need to add a lot more cuts because are cuts are way too long. When we go out and re film on Wednesday we will film all the night scenes again because the lighting is too dim, we need to film these scenes roughly 5 times from different angles showing different shots so we have more footage. The types of shots we need is a lot more close up's and medium shots, we will film with the camera from one angle and show Farha looking ahead into the distance.
