Filming Day Five

LAST DAY OF FILMING
Tuesday 12th November 2013

Today actually went pretty well, we all meet up at Waterloo station, we had a little group meeting before we actually started filming, this was so we could discuss what shots we were filming and to make sure everyone was clear about what we wanted to achieve at the end of the day.

We filmed both Umar and Farha, but more of Farha, we started with Umar because we only need a couple of shots of him, we filmed him begin his journey coming out of Waterloo station looking for Farha, first we filmed some shots of him walking up a set of stairs in front of the London Eye. The next set of shots we filmed were a variety of close up shots of his feet and back walking towards the London Eye, remembering to not reveal his identity, also a couple of over the shoulder shots of Umar looking directly at the London Eye, which was a beautiful shot because it doesn't only allow the audience to see from Umar's point of view but it also allows the audience to recognise the location he is in, it adds a romantic feel to the music video, a young man in a big city full of people looking for his lover. We also filmed Umar on the London Bridge, looking over the sea at the view ahead of him, this is also another shot that shows the beautiful London city.

When the day started to get darker we decided to film Farha since we only needed night shots of her, we began by filming another base track of her in front of the London Eye, it was a lovely area because the blue Christmas lights were lit, with this and our own lighting the shots looked amazing! At first filming here was kind of hard because people kept getting in our shots, but this wasn't our main concern, as it wasn't that busy, when we played the footage back just to make sure the filming was good, we noticed as Farha was singing she kept looking at each person that walked past her. So lucky for her we had enough time to do some quick re-filming and this went well, we filmed long shots here which allowed the audience to see the location she was in, and also close up of Farha's face as she sang. Our next filming location for Farha was at the Millennium Bridge, when we got on the bridge it started raining, which was bad luck for us, however we still filmed and were prepared with 3 umbrellas! The batteries on our lighting started to run out so we couldn't film this scene numerous times, however we managed to film it 2-3 times just in case some parts of it were better than others, like our teacher Dan always says "the more footage, the better!"

During this whole day we took many picture of everywhere we visited, which I soon will upload!
